Providing significant improvements over the existing handsets with durability and improved features. The Handset combines in one compact unit: a speaker for listening to TV and/or radio sound and a convenient group of controls for reading light, TV channel and volume selection.

The Nurse Call button has brail identification and two reassurance lights. Also included is; Earphone jack, and a microphone for patient nurse communication via portable phones.
