Host PC

A custom built Windows server PC (utilising a dual hard disk raid) acts as the control centre for the Xtag system, installed with our software which displays all relevant system information.Typically located within the "safe area" the computer monitors and controls the Xtag system.Client PC's custom configured by Xtag can be located as required in other locations to provide additional administration capabilities.

Xtag Software

The Xtag software displays a simple list of tagged infants in alphabetical order.The time and date the tag was "last seen" and battery status are all included.Designed for ease of use the operator simply clicks one button to display the password log on screen, then double clicks the infants name to access their record.Every user has individual access rights to the software, set up by an administrator.The software records all activity in a log, each event contains the time and date, the infants name, the operators name and the action taken.Powerful tools built in allow administrators to recall log events by date, time, operator, infants name or event type allowing full analyses of events should they occur.The database can be exported for use within third party software if required IE Microsoft Access.

The Network and Power Supply

The system utilises a simple RS485 network allowing easy installation with Belden STP cable throughout.The readers run from a 12 Volt uninterruptible power supply which allows local alarm events to continue in the event of PC failure/off line, network failure etc.This provides total peace of mind for the staff using the system.
