Xtag Baby Tag

Packed with state of the art microprocessor technology, the Xtag Baby Tag is a sophisticated advanced solid state solution designed for use within a busy obstetrics department, the combination of the latest advances in electronics allied to clever design make the tag a reliable hi-tech solution.
The tag automatically detects that the presence of the strap, switching on immediately upon attachment and transmitting a tamper condition if the strap is cut or disconnected.
The Xtag system monitors the tag continuously and reports abnormal conditions.
Tags are reusable and have a warranted life of one year. With a battery life of 3 years (at 50% duty cycle). When not in use they conserve battery power by sleeping, immediately re awakening upon attachment of the strap. They are waterproof, and can be cleaned as required.

Xtag Readers

Xtag Readers are state of the art digital radio receivers which are installed throughout the "safe area" defined by the obstetrics department and by each exit, they pick up the transmissions from all the tags within the facility and transmit them to the PC via a simple network, the PC stores the data and provides SMS text messages or Email alerts as required.
The Xtag receiver holds all known tags in memory, allowing them to continue to provide alarm conditions to external security systems (nurse call, CCTV, access control locks etc.) in the unlikely event that the computer is off line or during power failure, giving total peace of mind.
The Xtag reader can be configured as "long range" which monitor the Xtag's within the permitted areas reporting all presence, tamper and low battery signals to the host PC, or "Portal" which monitor alarm areas close to exits, signalling the approach of a tag with fully adjustable range control.
Long range readers have a simple external antenna and detect tags in an area 25 meters radius (50 meters diameter).
Portal readers have a choice of antenna to best suit the location which is fully adjustable to set the range at which a tag is detected from 4 meters to 15 meters.
