The PBX Interface Module Handsfree Version can be used on any
PBX system that allows for analog extensions at the patient/resident
room. The module enables a multi channel speech system to be
integrated into existing or new nurse call systems easily and
economically. One advantage of this type of speech system is the
facility can use their own phones from anywhere within the building to
make a speech call to the patient or resident.
When an active call point is pressed either on the nurse call pendant
or nurse call point this will enable the PBX Interface Module to
automatically answer the next incoming speech call. Once a speech
call is detected the module will answer the call and a handsfree
conversation will take place. Once the conversation ends the staff
member can simply hang-up the phone to terminate the call. Staff are
required to attend the room to cancel the original nurse call (as
required by Australian Standards).
